In the winter of 2021, Gordon Eckler collaborated with Berkeley based publisher Gingko Press to release a trivia game focused exclusively on the history of skateboarding. All written and visual content was produced by Gordon.
Then, in 2022 Gordon partnered with Jack Spanbauer to start working on a digital version of the game, SkateTrivia.com. For this iteration, the content would be produced by Jack while the design of the game would be lead by Gordon.
SkateTrivia.com is a daily trivia engine that provides users with a new question everyday. There is no time limit, so users can ponder each question without being stressed by a countdown timer. As users complete questions they earn coins, collect stats, and unlock behind-the-scenes videos providing validation to the content.
Since we launched the site features two games, each providing one question a day — Skate Trivia and Skate Spot Trivia.
